The puzzle pictured is made of 1/4" Basswood for the box and 1/8" Basswood for the top and locking mechanism. The darker pieces were stained a walnut color and the lighter pieces a cherry toner. The entire box coated with a clear lacquer. Kits may be available in the future that use hardwoods for the visible outside faces.
Trinket Box
A rather nice little box, 4 x 2-1/2” x 2”, where the lid pattern
is actually a “secret lock”. There are no parts that can be seen or
stick out, so you could keep trinkets in the box. You could even keep,
gasp, cigarettes in it!
