Liquorice
Sometimes a box is named after the way it
looks. But of course, there are many different ways to decorate it, from
complex fretwork patterns, right down to ordinary paper. This puzzle box looks rather like a giant liquorice all-sort, with yellow sides, and a black top and bottom. Nothing moves on the sides, so the only parts that look as if they can move are the top and bottom. The bottom doesn't move at all, so that leaves the top. But that won't turn, push, pull or lift. There's only THREE moves to open this
box, and you're not really sure if you've done the first move until you
try the second one...
This is a fairly simple box to make: a couple of days should do. The size of this box is 3" by 3" by 3" and is made from 1/8" wood and plywood.
This
puzzle kit has alignment pegs built into the parts to make assembly
easier and virtually every part in the kit is labeled.
